Another lockdown at excel
Many of those that know us and our location often ask if we are busy in the times we have large events such as DSEi at ExCel but the honest truth is that these large events cost the bars & restaurants in the area many weeks of lost business while the build up and break down are happening for a benefit of a few days of good business.
Our best shows are those that attract large audiences with little security impact.
The Nightingale Hospital is understandably subject to the very best security measures for IPC reasons and we understand that both the public and residents of our buildings need to feel secure considering the possibilities. We are debating daily the best choices for our own people and will prioritise their wellbeing at all times.
We were very quiet yesterday evening for Takeaway and Delivery and will decide on Monday whether to continue or not with our offering.
In the meantime, keep safe, wash those hands (again and again) and let us know when you have Completed Netflix :)
We now know why Boris missed his call. Must say I hope he gets well soon as he is doing a top job of leading the country through this crisis. Of course he should have been a little more careful as he was clearly too near other people last week and now needs to be very careful indeed!
Boris - remember to clean your phone as well as your hands mate!
We continue to serve Pizza and drinks for takeaway and today will be offering Delivery at around the Royal Docks also. Delivery costs £5.40 if you are over in the Brittania Village but remember to use your DL20 code to receive a 20% discount on your order.
If you order this weekend I'll add a special wine promo for your second order :)
Keep safe all and have a #FantasticFriday
So yesterday I didn't receive a call from Boris but it was a very busy day. No worries Boris, we understand and we'll tune in later for your daily show.
We were all sorry to hear that HRH Prince Charles is not well and spending his quarantine in the isolation of a private residence on the Balmoral estate. We wish him well and I have it from our confidential sources that the wine cellar is well stocked :)
ExCel is being fitted out as we speak to become the Nightingale Hospital. We are glad our 'big business' neighbour is doing its part and we'll be offering our 50% discount to NHS & Services personnel throughout the crisis as long as we are open for Takeaway & Delivery.
On that note we are starting with our Delivery Service tomorrow around the ExCel estate. Please be nice to our team as they are new to delivery but willing to try so we can continue with our takeaway offer.
So, not much today but keep well, wash those hands and order some pizza, wine or beer folks!
